Partners Julie Tyler and Carol Joyce formed Cattail's Gifts Inc. in the Fall of 2005. Their idea was to provide customers with up-scale gifts and interesting home decor items. So far Cattail's has been an unquestionable success among the local patrons, as well as out-of-town guests. We're located in Mathews, Virginia in an area known as the Middle Peninsula, which is Chesapeake Bay country!
In the Fall of '07 we moved to a new location with more space. The item selection and various product lines remain as awesome as ever! There is so much to see, that it takes a while just to make sure you don't miss anything. Some of the major product lines are:
- Habersham Wax Pottery (scented, flameless vessels and spheres)
- Alexandria Fragrance Lamps in beautiful colors, shapes, and scents
- Hand-painted glassware by a local Mathews artist
- Metal art wall hangings (Blue Herons, Egrets, Sea Gulls, fish, and turtles, with natural habitat backgrounds)
- Water fountains that provide soothing sounds
- Corinthian Bell wind chimes (sounds like church bells in the distance)
- Ceramics with a Chesapeake Bay theme
- Jewelry
- Art pillows
- Ceramic bird baths
- Tervis tumblers and mugs
- And lots of other wonderful items!
Julie and Carol see to it that you receive a smile and greeting as you come through the door, and a fashionable multi-colored ribbon tied shopping bag with your goodies when you leave.
Now, the best news! Cattail's is on the web, with a selection of products that are best sellers in our store.
